Selling group tickets, like a table at a gala or a corporate team pass, is a great way to boost attendance. Often, the person purchasing the tickets doesn't know the names of all their guests right away.
You can set up your EventCreate site to allow the primary buyer to secure the group tickets first and fill in the details for their guests later.
STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Create your Group Ticket
How to Create a Group Ticket
Go to your Event Dashboard.
Navigate to Setup > Registration and click the Tickets tab:
Click Add New Ticket (or click an existing ticket to edit it):
In the ticket settings, look for the Ticket Type and select Group:
Set the Capacity: Enter the number of attendees that this single ticket includes (e.g., entering
10means one purchase equals 10 reserved spots):Set the Price: Enter the total cost for the entire group.
Click Save Now.
Step 2: Allow editing after registration
Next, you need to enable the setting that lets the buyer return to their registration to add their guests' names.
Go to Setup > Registration > Advanced
Scroll down to the Attendee Registration Options section
Check the box for Allow editing of attendee info. See below:
4. Click Update to save your changes.
How it works for your attendees:
The primary buyer will select the group ticket and complete the initial checkout process.
They will receive a confirmation email containing a link to view and modify their registration.
When they are ready to add their guests' names, they simply click the link in their confirmation email, update the blank attendee fields, and save their changes.
