How to Have Your Event Show Up in Search Results and Make it SEO Friendly

Search indexing allows your event website to appear on Google and other search engines. When enabled, your site becomes discoverable through search keywords like your event name, location, or type of event.

The SEO Website Setting lets you manage how your event appears on search engines like Google. Here, you can control whether your event is visible to the public and customize how it appears when shared online.


How to Enable Search Engine Indexing

  1. Go to your Event Dashboard.

  2. Click Setup > Website > SEO

  3. Check Allow for Search Engine Indexing ON. This setting allows Google and other search engines to include your event website in search results. If disabled, your event will be hidden from public searches.

  4. Enter your event’s Title, Description, and Keywords to help search engines understand and rank your event better

The best to way to ensure that Google indexes your event page is to add a link to your event from a high-profile external source, such as a newspaper or popular blog. So if you're able to get your event mentioned in a local newspaper or blog or your organization’s website or social media links, this will likely have a positive impact.

5. To Save, Click Update Share Settings

This can take up to 4 days to a few weeks for Google to index a new website. This timing depends on Google’s crawl schedule. It will ultimately be up to Google to determine when the page is indexed and how it is ranked. Once enabled, your event page will be visible to search engines once they crawl your site.
