πŸ”— What Are EventCreate URLs and Links?

Every EventCreate event comes with a unique URL that you can share with attendees, embed on other websites, or use in marketing campaigns. EventCreate links make it easy for attendees to register, RSVP, and access your event, while also helping you track engagement.

When you create an event in EventCreate, our system automatically generates a custom URL for your event. This is your unique website link that you can use to share or promote your event.

Whether you want to share your event directly, embed it on your website, or generate a QR code for scanning, EventCreate gives you the tools to manage and promote your event efficiently.

πŸ” What You Can Do with EventCreate Links

Using EventCreate links, you can:

  • Share a direct event URL with attendees via email, text, Messenger, WhatsApp, or social media (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc)

  • Embed your event link in buttons or other elements on your website

  • Create short links for easier sharing on social media πŸ”—

  • Generate QR codes so attendees can scan and access your event page

  • Track how attendees are accessing your event using analytics

  • Update the default EventCreate share image for social media:

🧾 How to Access and Update Your Event URL

  1. Log in to your EventCreate account.

  2. Select your event from the My Events page.

  3. Go to Dashboard β†’ Share β†’ Link / URL

  4. Here you can Copy your main event URL, Edit your Event Link or Add a Custom Domain

Notes:

  • If the URL is not saving, it may already be taken. Try adding a number or year at the end (e.g., mybirthday2022 or janedoebirthday1).

  • If you want to reuse an old event URL for a new event, change the URL on your old event first to free it up.

  • If you’ve already sent invites, consider whether you want to change the URL. Changing it will require resending invites with the new link: Step-by-step guide for changing your event URL

⚠️ Important: Changing Your Event URL After Sending Emails

Please do not change an event URL AFTER you send out any emails with the event link. The URL is automatically connected to what is listed in the EventCreate URL when you send out an email.

  • If attendees encounter errors when clicking the event link from your email, change the URL back.

  • Alternatively, you will need to resend the email invite with the new link to all guests and have them disregard the first email invite and link.
