The SEO Website Setting lets you manage how your event appears on search engines like Google. Here, you can control whether your event is visible to the public and customize how it appears when shared online.

How to Enable Search Engine Indexing

  1. Go to your Event Dashboard.

  2. Click Setup > Website > SEO

  3. Check Allow for Search Engine Indexing ON. This setting allows Google and other search engines to include your event website in search results. If disabled, your event will be hidden from public searches.

  4. Enter your event’s Title, Description, and Keywords to help search engines understand and rank your event better

SEO TIP:

The best to way to ensure that Google indexes your event page is to add a link to your event from a high-profile external source, such as a newspaper or popular blog. So if you're able to get your event mentioned in a local newspaper or blog or your organization’s website or social media links, this will likely have a positive impact.

5. To Save, Click Update Share Settings

6. Once submitted, we will submit to Google for indexing!

Please note: How long before my event appears on Google?

This can take up to 4 days to a few weeks for Google to index a new website. This timing depends on Google’s crawl schedule. It will ultimately be up to Google to determine when the page is indexed and how it is ranked. Once enabled, your event page will be visible to search engines once they crawl your site.

FAQ

Q: Can I preview how my event looks in search results?
A: Yes. Use the Preview link at the top of your event page or copy your event URL into a tool like Google’s Rich Results Test.

Q: My event isn’t showing up in Google after I changed the event URL

A: If you recently updated your event URL, Google needs time to reindex the new page. Reindexing typically takes 1–5 days. We’ve already submitted your event to Google for indexing, so it’s in the queue. During this window, search visibility may temporarily drop or show inconsistent results. Once Google finishes reindexing, your event will appear under the new URL in search results.

Q: My updated event details, title, or description are not updating in Google?

A: If you updated your event details, title, or description around the same time you changed your event URL, those changes will appear in Google once the new page is reindexed. This usually takes 1–5 days. Google just needs time to refresh the new version.

Q: What happens if I disable indexing?
A: Your event will not appear in Google search results, which can be helpful for private or invitation-only events.

Tips for Better SEO

  • Title: Use a clear and descriptive event name.

  • Description: Write a short summary (about 150–160 characters) describing your event’s main value or experience.

  • Keywords: Add relevant keywords separated by commas (e.g., conference, Los Angeles, start ups)

  • Sharing your event link widely also helps build credibility and improves search ranking.
