Here are a few ways to troubleshoot check-in or attendee app errors.

Ways to Check In Guests on EventCreate

1. Apple iOS Check-In App

Download the EventCreate Apple iOS Check-In App from the Apple App Store (available in the US, Canada, and Australia).


2. Android Check-In App

Download the EventCreate Android Check-In App from the Google Play Store.


3. Web-Based Check-In (Desktop, Tablet, or Mobile)

You can check guests in directly from your browser—no app required.
To access:

Go to your Event Dashboard → Share & Tools → More → Check-In

The web-based check-in works on desktop, tablet, or mobile and is a great backup if you’re having app or login issues. You can also use it to manually check in guests without scanning.


4. QR Code Scanning Alternatives

If you prefer not to use the app or need a backup scanner, try:

These tools let you scan attendee QR codes and then manually check them in through your EventCreate dashboard.


Below are quick solutions for the most common app errors:

ERROR 1 – Scan Error: Ticket Scan Failed – Unable to scan the ticket. Please try again or check it manually to the database.

Try: deleting and reinstalling the EventCreate Check-In App to ensure you’re using the latest version: Apple iOS Check-In App or Android Check-In App

ERROR 2: Login Error: Authenticating Failed. Please try again. Request failed with status code 401.

Try:

  1. Double checking your EventCreate login details and app access. If you are a collaborator, please confirm your login details with the Admin of the Account.

  2. Closing the Check-In App completely.

  3. Reopening it and try logging in again.

  4. If that doesn’t work, deleting the app and reinstalling it:

  5. Logging back in with your current EventCreate account email and password.

  • Backup Option:
    You can always use the Web Check-In on your EventCreate Dashboard on your phone, tablet, or laptop. It works exactly like the app and is a great backup if you’re having login issues.

ERROR 3 – App Not Available in Country: This app is not available in your country or region.

The EventCreate iOS Check-In App is currently available in the US, Canada, and Australia.
