How to Fix
Delete and reinstall the EventCreate Check-In App to ensure you have the latest version:

If scanning still doesn’t work, you can manually check guests in:
Event Dashboard → Share & Tools → More → Check-InYou can also use a QR code reader such as QR Code & Barcode Scanner or the Chrome QR code scanner browser plug-in.
