🔌 1. Check you’re connecting the right Stripe account

  • Make sure you’re signing into the correct Stripe account linked to your event or business.

  • If you manage multiple Stripe accounts, confirm you’re using the right login credentials.

🧾 2. Verify your Stripe account is fully activated

Stripe requires identity verification before you can accept payments. If your account isn’t fully set up, payments will fail.

  • Log into your Stripe Dashboard: https://dashboard.stripe.com/

  • Look for any “Verification required” or “Provide additional information” messages.

  • Upload all requested documents (e.g., government ID, EIN/ABN, SSN, bank details).

🏦 3. Double-check your bank details

Incorrect or incomplete bank info can block connections or payouts.

  • In your Stripe Dashboard, go to Settings → Bank accounts and scheduling.

  • Confirm your account and routing numbers are entered correctly.

🔒 4. Make sure your details match exactly

If the business or personal details you enter don’t match your legal documents, Stripe won’t activate.

  • Business name, EIN/ABN, or SSN must be an exact match.

  • If you’re an individual or personal event host, select Individual/Sole Trader when setting up in Stripe.

⚙️ 5. Browser and technical troubleshooting

  • Try a different browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended).

  • Clear your cache, or use an incognito/private window.

  • Disconnect and reconnect Stripe in your EventCreate profile.

📞 6. Still stuck?

If none of the above solves it:

  1. Disconnect Stripe in EventCreate.

  2. Reconnect via Dashboard → Profile → Stripe Payments → Connect Stripe.

  3. If the connection still fails, contact Stripe directly: https://support.stripe.com/contact

Pro tip: Most Stripe connection problems come down to missing verification, incorrect bank details, or mismatched legal info. Fixing those usually clears things up fast.
